My Art

Along with inspired design, you want your gown to be well made and technically perfect.

I teach all my seamstresses proper methods of construction. It shows in every Deanna Zapico© design.

The real fun of designing a custom gown is the brainstorming that takes place between the designer and her client. My training is in design – but itʼs your input that drives the process in arriving at the perfect custom gown for you. Weʼll have fun. Your day, Your way.

 MATERIALS, FABRICS AND LACE

From original sketches to a muslin intermediate to the final fit and design, each of our gowns is perfect.

We use only the finest materials in our creations. Including Italian, Asian and French silks and laces.

  • DIA “Samurai: Beyond the Armor” Fashion Design Competition!

    Beginning March 27, the designers will post blogs and videos about their experiences at http://blog.dia.org/.

    The finished outfits will be displayed in three tri-county locations: Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, 6777 W. Maple Road, West Bloomfield, April 21–27; Warren Community Center, 5460 Arden Rd., Warren, April 28-May 4; and a venue in Canton, to be determined, May 5–12.

    The public will determine the winner by voting for their favorite outfit at any of the three venues, or online, beginning April 21 at www.detroitgarmentgroup.org. The winning design will be announced at a fashion show at the DIA on Saturday, May 18, at noon.
